Eligible candidates must be exceptional in C.N.C. machine set-up & operation. This individual must possess skills to machine complex multi-faceted parts, be competent in use of all types of measuring instruments and must ensure that all tolerances & machining variables are satisfied. The successful candidate will be a professional team player that can help us maintain our strong corporate integrity.
•Setting up and operating CNC machining centers (lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, boring mills)
•Reading and interpreting the information/specifications presented on drawings in respect to physical shape, size, material, heat treatment, finish, hardness and other pertinent data.
•Preparing and loading raw materials and parts onto machines
•Determining dimensions with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers
•Adherence to all quality assurance processes and procedures
•Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
•Maintaining equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements following manufacturers instructions.
•Maintaining specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations.
•Maintaining continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
•Completion of internal documentation.
•Meeting organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests. Exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
•Ability to set up and operate CNC Machines
•Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools including calipers, ID and OD micrometers and depth gages.
•Excellent problem solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
•Good organizational and planning skills.
•Excellent attention to detail
•Strong mechanical abilities
•Ability to lift to 50 pounds
•Competent in operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machines
•Must be able to work independently
•Ability to multi-task and follow instructions
•Must be able to communicate in English at an advanced level, both written and verbal
Experience with the following will be an asset:
•E2 Shop management
•Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol Controls
•Comprehensive benefit package including dental and vision
•Night Shift (Monday - Thursday) - includes a premium rate of an additional $2 per hour and 10 hour shifts
•Day Shift (Monday - Friday) - Lathe experience required (1 Hire Needed)
•Red Seal or AB Journeyman’s Machining ticket preferred.
