About the Organization
As part of the Athabasca Tribal Council, the Fort McKay First Nation (FMFN) is composed of members who are of Cree and Dene heritage. Currently, there are 619 Fort McKay Band Members and 401 people that are currently residing in Fort McKay.
About the Opportunity
Are you a highly motivated, flexible and patient individual who loves to work with youth? Fort McKay First Nation is seeking a team oriented individual to work as a full timeHigh School Math & Science Tutor.
You will tutor students in basic, intermediate and advanced High School math and science. This will involve enforcing the rules of a classroom setting while being empathetic to student needs.
A background as a High School Math and Science Teacher/Tutor or equivalent would be preferred. A College Diploma or University Degree in a related discipline would be highly desirable, as is the ability to speak, read and write Cree or Dene. Experience working with a First Nations Community would be a definite asset.
