Grantech Engineering International Inc., GTI, is a quality and results oriented corporation providing project management, conceptual, front end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction management, commissioning, and start-up services to the oil and gas industry.

Reporting directly to the Sr. Drafting & Design Lead/Checker, the Piping Drafting & Designer will be responsible for preparing engineering designs, drawings and related technical information.

Main Duties:

• Drawing in Plant layouts, Piping and Mechanical equipment
• Operate Computer Assisted Design (CAD) and drafting workstations
• Piping Isometric Drawings complete with BOM generation
• Participate in 30%, 60%, 90% model reviews
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures for all design activities
• In conjunction with engineering staff, prepare design concepts for internal & client review
• In conjunction with engineering staff, produce detailed drawings and documentation for identified and approved concepts/projects
• Participation in formal engineering review processes if required
• Provide technical input to designs by conducting technical critiques as appropriate
• Incorporate vendor drawings and information to develop and check the 3D model
• Maintaining technical knowledge to ensure appropriate technologies are incorporated into designs and most cost effective design techniques are utilized
• Providing technical support to all that are involved in a design/drafting functions

Employment Requirements:

• Minimum of 7+ years of strong technical experience
• Drafting/Design diploma/certificate or equivalent
• AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
• ProCAD
• CADWorx
• Microsoft Office
• Previous oil and gas experience an asset
• Must be fluent in all English language skills
