RECEPTIONIST/ OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR required for a sophisticated boutique criminal and family law firm in downtown Calgary. Ideal candidates will have experience providing administrative support within an office environment, preferably a law firm.  Any prior experience in bookkeeping, billing and invoicing is also preferable.  Other qualities of a successful candidate will include:


Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
A high level of integrity and high attention to detail
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook)
Ability to handle highly confidential material
Must be able to work in team and also work independently on prescribed tasks

Work hours                        Permanent Full Time

                                8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday

                                Start date is negotiable


Compensation                  Annual Salary range between $30,000 and $40,000


Reception Duties                            


Answering general phone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner

Directing phone inquiries to the appropriate staff member

Replying to general information requests with the accurate information

Greeting visitors to the organization in a professional and friendly manner

Processing all mail and courier correspondence


Office Administration Duties


*   Word processing, creating and using spreadsheets

*   Delivering bank deposits

*   Recording and properly documenting client payment

*   Providing administrative support to lawyers and other staff

*   Regular use of e-mail correspondence

*   Drafting office memo’s

*   Preparing, organizing, and data entry of office invoices and billings
