This position consists of driving a ready mix truck and transporting concrete from the company Ready Mix Plant to various customers.
Health and Safety: Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. Ensure all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner. Obey safety guidelines when on when on public roads, construction sites and operations.
Environment: Establish the environment as a priority in daily activities and act as a steward to the environment. Demonstrate a commitment to meet or exceed environmental compliance.
Customer Focus: Ensure good customer relations. Collect payment for materials when required. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers. Assist other drivers at the job site and plant when necessary.
Delivery & Production: Maneuver truck into loading or unloading positions, by following all best practices to include identifying all hazards and communicating with spotter. Loading and unloading chutes to distribute concrete while walking over a variety of terrain.
Truck Maintenance & Image: Perform daily Pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Check vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Responsible for the maintaining truck cleanliness and basic truck maintenance.
Plant Maintenance & Image: Assist with plant maintenance. Set up and inspect equipment prior to operation. Service and/or help with repairs as needed. Clean up around plant as needed. Help striping and pouring concrete blocks.
Communication & Reporting: Responsible for the documentation of material delivered. Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.

Education & Work Experience:
§ High School diploma or equivalent
§ 1-2 years of related experience
Certifications & Licenses:
§ Must have Class 1 or Class 3 license
Knowledge & Skills:
§ Excellent customer service skills – dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers
§ Must be flexible and able to balance shifting priorities to meet deadlines
§ Strong problem solving and analytical skills and the desire to seek solutions
§ Ability to maintain composure in all situations and not become defensive or irritated
