Our client is seeking a Junior Administrative Assistant to complete a two year contract at their Sarnia, Ontario location helping complete basic administrative tasks. Job Responsibilities 

  • Support the Regulatory Compliance Specialist in Safety, Health and Environmental 
  • Support Environmental Waste Specialist in Safety, Health and Environmental Department to process Waste Disposal Data entry and retrieve waste documents from the mailbox daily
  • Responsible for typing, filing, answering phones, scheduling, calendaring, record keeping, coordinating meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies and sorting or distributing mail
  • Possible special projects work to include recording, compiling, retrieving, reporting and analyzing information

Candidate Qualifications 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and email systems
  • Strong administrative coordination abilities
  • Attention to details and good communication skills
  • Willing to perform repetitive data entry tasks for long hours with high accuracy and efficiency 
  • Follow instructions and job aids 
  • Sense of urgency and ownership over assigned tasks to meet deadlines
  • Diploma in IT or Administration desired but not necessary
