Since 1927, The Fullriggeren Sorlandet has been a leader in providing maritime training and adventure sailing from Kristiansand, Norway. Continuing with its tradition of excellence and hallmark training mission, the vessel is home to a unique international high school (A+ World Academy). Managed by the non-profit Sorlandet Foundation, the vessel is home and learning platform for 60 qualified pre-university and post secondary students. Students use the shipboard classroom and partners facilities abroad to deliver a rigorous curriculum, one inspired by International Baccalaureate structure and content defined by CBs Advanced Placement studies (the College Board) and the Cambridge IGCSE® (International General Certificate of Secondary Education). Students, who also serve as ships crew, travel to more than 20 ports of call worldwide, each year.
