Position Overview

We require a full-time Development Coordinator in the Real Estate division of the company. This includes coordination of activities in support of various industrial, commercial, and residential projects. This position will report directly to the VP of Development.

  • Position Type: Full-time/Permanent
  • Shifts: 8-hours/day, 40 work week
  • Location: Canmore

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project due diligence and feasibility including coordinating consultants, reviewing reports, prioritizing action items, and preparing a findings summary.
  • Support the development approvals process including, but not limited to: research, meetings/coordination with municipal staff, preparation of planning and construction applications, and prepare action items/minutes/agendas, as required.
  • Solicit proposals from multi-disciplinary consultant teams and assist in monitoring project schedules and budgets.
  • Support administrative functions of the Real Estate and Construction teams.
  • Travel to various locations throughout Alberta and British Columbia to investigate development opportunities and/or attend meetings.
  • Support other duties related to business development as required.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the development process.
  • Highly collaborative and self-motivated.
  • Excel in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in the planning, real estate or construction field.
  • Well organized with good interpersonal skills.
  • Must have technical knowledge of planning and development documents.
  • Requires a high level of fluency reading plans, bylaws and related project documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite an asset.
